The written word makes a come back!

Lets go back a bit.

Once upon a time someone developed language and the written word. People studied the written word. With the written word, messages could be sent in a new way. The old way used messengers and word of mouth. The sender relied on the messenger to not only relay the words, but also to relay the right emotion attached to the words. Once the written word came on the scene, messengers simply carried the letters. They were no longer responsible for conveying anything. They were merely in charge of delivery.

The written word...Be careful of how you bleat.

I thought this was a good topic to bring to bleat.ca because as people draw conclusions and write them down here on the site, others might take offense, or perhaps they might just want to play devil's advocate. Here's what I (and many others) have observed...

Email, forum, or text message based discussions often run the risk of being misinterpreted. Someone offers their opinion on a subject and all of a sudden someone else blasts them and tells them how wrong they are. Next thing you know there's name calling and all the rest.
