It is the understanding and philosophy of the moderators of this site that to ask tough questions as well as to draw challenging conclusions about God and religion does not consitute disbelief or faithlessness.

We often challenge ideas about the way things are. The purpose for this is multi-facetted.

First, we recognize that by examining an idea by challenging it or trying to disprove it can sometimes serve to reveal truth about the idea. The exposition of the idea makes us understand it better.

Secondly, thought is good. Sharing thoughts is healthly even if the thought is wrong. It only becomes unhealthy when someone exposes a persons wrongness in ways that lack respect and common courtesy. This is a place where wrongness is ok but will likely be challenged. We accept that this is a part of seeking truth and understanding.

We also acknowledge that there is one truth. Two opposing concepts can't both be true unless they only seem to oppose but really they don't oppose at all. We will discuss lots of things. Sometime discussion will lead to conclusions that we might identify as truths or accetedbunderstanding. These conclusions will be outlined at the following page.
